Re: Acoustic singer/songwriter music
Patty Griffin's "Living With Ghosts" is one of the best acoustic albums I have ever heard. If you like stuff like Diamen Rice, I suggest you check her out.
Michael Franti put out a great acoustic album called "Songs from the Back Porch." Great albumn. |

Re: Acoustic singer/songwriter music
pryor,
Ryan Adams - For some reason I forgot to mention him in my OP. I like and listen to a lot of his stuff regularly (especially the Love is Hell EPs). The Eels - I've heard a few songs and wasn't too impressed. Bill Ricchini - I'm listening to some songs of his right now and their a bit more pop/uptempo then what I'd like. Alexi Murdoch - All I've heard is Orange Sky and it didn't strike me as in any way noteworthy. |

Re: Acoustic singer/songwriter music
pryor,
Well I decided to get Time Without Consequence by Alexi Murdoch. I must say I'm positively surprised. It's definitely gotten better with each successive listen. |

[/ QUOTE ] he's one of those guys that if i hadn't seen him live, i don't know that i would have been as much on the bandwagon. the EP didn't really showcase just how good he is. i'm glad you like it. |

Re: Acoustic singer/songwriter music
I feel like I should mention Ben Harper, although everyone has likely heard of him. Donavon Frankenreiter is very good too.
