I had never seen Clerks until last night.

I got it on On-Demand, and turned it off after 30 minutes. I thought it was pretty tedious, slow, and not funny.

Bad move. I'm trying to remember what parts you would have seen in 30 minutes, but Clerks. is gold. I mean, 37? In a row? is classic.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, I saw that part. it was funny...but one of only 2 or 3 in the half hour I watched. the rest was just...people talking.

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you see the Death Star conversation?

clerks got funnier for me the more i watched it.

dantes was awful at reading lines, mainly because of the monotone delivery and it seemed as if he couldnt wait until the other actor finished their line so he could say his.

i hope hes gotten a little better since then?

i plan to see part II today

I was surpised that Randall didn't have a career after Clerks. I could see him as the comic lead in the mold of Owen Wilson. I thought his timing was could and he only butchered a few lines. Dante on the other hand was a dreadful actor, it only got worse as you moved to the bit parts in the movie. Dante's girlfriend was especially awful.

That reminds me of a question I had that has always bothered me. Kaitly Bree (sp?) is getting married to a guy they refer to as an Asian Design major. Does that mean he is ethnically Asian and studying design. Or that he is studying Asian designs?

Mallrats aged horribly, I cringed when I watched it like 5yrs after i'd first scene it, I was thinking was this really funny [censored] I feel bad for having laughed at this. Clerks on the other hand remains good. Though it's probably been 4yrs since i've seen either.

Acting, directing, and plot aside (those three were atrocious), this movie was hilarious. Jay had like infinity good one liners.

I thought it was very funny. Jay really rocks. The romantic scenes in the movie suck though and some parts of the plot are not very good either.
I was really looking forward to watching the movie and laugh. I wasn't disappointed.

This movie was really funny. It's too bad they let the plot get in the way. The Pillowpockets bit was great.

It's "goodbye horses"

This is the song that Buffalo Bill danced to in Silence of the Lambs. Which explains why Jay is dancing in the same manner that Buffalo Bill did in Silence of the Lambs.

Ahhh. Now that is funny [censored]. When I saw it I busted a gut and commented to my wife that he had it tucked in "Buffalo Bill" style. I didn't get the reference with the song though.

Cool. Now I get a second, heartier laugh out of the scene.

Thanks, bro.

I just got back from seeing this flick and absolutely laughed my ass off!!!

<spolier alert>

Now no one can criticize Kevin Smith for having a stationary camera EVER AGAIN!!! ROFLMAO If you get the reference, you would have laughed your balls off at the time like I did.

Kevin Smith did what he does best, dialog scenes and they were great. Btw, I never want to see Jayson Mewes in that fashion again!!!
