My wife is a vet and has to do surgery pretty regularly to remove large portions of dog's intestines because the dog has eaten clothes, blankets, etc, or had to put said dogs to sleep if there is too much damage to the digestive system.

I am sure humans are like way different though, and we probably have intestines that just gobble up cotton like nothing!

You should definitely do it, and teach your friend a lesson. Then if he bets you $100 you won't eat his feces, you can teach him another lesson. You really are getting over on him - bigtime.
