Anyone who voted All Along the Watchtower:

how could you possibly vote this his best song when someone else's cover is much better???

[/ QUOTE ]

Because Dylan penned the lyrics. Not that I voted for it.

In the liner notes to the 'Biograph' box set, it is mentioned that Dylan said "We're gonna play it that way from now on."

Legend has it that Hendrix' girlfriend pushed to get the tape released, Jimi was bringing it to parties where it was a huge success; but he was afraid his hero Dylan would be angry if Hendrix released it.

I'm stupified as to how you could set up this poll and not include 'One More Cup of Coffee', 'All the Tired Horses' and 'Stage Fright'.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pretty much the whole album, "desire" should be on here.

Do this in tournament form, it's what Dylan would want.

Wow. "It's Alright, Ma, I'm Only Bleeding" is undoubtedly one of his very best, and not one person has mentioned it.

That's my pick, anyway.

love minus zero/no limit
The man in me
the boxer
the mighty quinn
its all over now, baby blue
when the ship comes in (how you missed this, I'll not know)
Corrina, Corrina (again...)
Honey just allow me one more chance

Whatever, that so many people are able to list so many other songs that didn't make your poll only proves how impossible it is to choose.

This was nominated but not seconded. I am considering doing a tournament now. Hmm... well see.

How the Christ "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" didn't make this list is completely beyond me.

Frankly, this poll may be beyond the limits of mortal Man to construct.

I too could not understand why that song in not on the list. I also cannot understand how "Simple Twist of Fate" has only received seven votes.
Not a single song from TOOM? The best album the man has ever made and not a single song has made the list? The man recorded every song on that album in one take and they're not good enough to make the list? It's a conspiracy just like online poker.
