Matt and Sunny

As we breathlessly await the new book, can you recomend any other good material for aspiring NL newbs? Have either of you read the Fox & Harker book, and if so, any comments? Any other good sources or articles online?

While I'm at it, let me be the first to ask the standard questions:

1. When can we preorder it?

2. When will it be at my local book store?

3. Will it have a gun on the cover?

[/ QUOTE ]

1. No idea.

2. About 6 weeks after we finish writing it.

3. I do not know if Mason has selected a cover yet. However, if it doesn't have an obvious gun, it would be fun to hide a pair of tiny Colt revolvers in the cover art. Maybe Mason would comment?

Just a few questions:
1) Will there be a shorthanded (6 max) section?
2) Is there any chance of Volume 3 workbook?
3) I am assuming this book is not written for the beginner can you confirm?

Thanks.

[/ QUOTE ]

1. Yes, but not in the first volume.
2. It hasn't been ruled out, but there are no current plans to do one.
3. It's aimed at SSNL players with some experience. We assume the reader has played the game.

Matt - I hate to impose, but is there any chance we could get a general description of the topics you intend to cover? Some of us have no patience, in case you can't tell.

Thanks.

HI Matt:

That's probably too optimistic. Just getting all the proof reading done should take that long, and there is a lot more to do than just proof reading after we receive the manuscript. But we will certainly give these books top priority and get them done as quickly as we can.

Best wishes,
Mason

Not having read volumes 1 or 2, I have no idea how anyone could respond to that poll.

some people just assume (wrongly or rightly) before reading that certain 2+2 books will be great before it being released. NLHET&P for example. also they see Ed's name and make similar assumptions.
i think it's too early to consider but can see why people want it even now.

We will ask several strong no limit players from 2+2 to review the text prior to publication. And a few not-so-strong ones to make sure the concepts are presented clearly.
