high school > financial advisor > M&A grunt > Marines > now out playing full time for a year before going back to finish a business degree. Poker is a great way to make a ridiculous amount of money, but in no way would I ever do this forever.

Me too. Which company did you work for? I worked for AT Kearney then left along with about 40 others from ATK in 2000 start up an online procurement consulting company that I left in 2004 to play full time. Although I am a limit donk just starting to learn NL.

It is crazy how many on here really have never had a serious job before poker. Not that is either bad or good, just interesting.

TCBY, poker player, hopefully successful investment banker

They kept trying to promote me so I had to quit fast for fear of ending up like one of those people who was working there at 25. Scary thought.

To be honest, you should be. When I started with ATK, I was working 80-100 hour weeks while 1/2 the time having no idea wtf I was doing. But it is all good in the end. You get to work on some amazing projects for companies that their own employees get to work on only after 30 years of work for that company, and here you are right out of college making suggestions to CxO level employees. You will have an awesome experience and McKinsey is probably the best consulting company out there, so you should be fired up.
