Re: What are the best poker podcasts?
Rounders is the best IMO. The interviews are excellent, and the hosts are highly knowledgeable/well rounded on all things poker. It's a polished, well-produced show.
The Circuit can be amusing, but anymore Sebok and Huff's jokes are just lame and annoying. The interviews are pretty bad, but worth listening to due to the high caliber of guests. Gavin's hand analysis is good. When he's gone the show goes way downhill. Bluff Radio is an embarrassment. Nick is a total ass clown with absolutely horrible interviewing skills, not to mention irritating. |

The Circuit is much better afer Matusow left. Some might find him funny. His schtick just gets old with me.

The hosts are definitely a couple of Canadian yokels, [/ QUOTE ] Hey, I resemble that remark. Working on getting "Gank" for this weeks show. Also going to try to get a few mins with Chip Reese, but thats probably a long shot. Anyone have a suggestion for a interesting guest? Tuco. |

Anyone have a suggestion for a interesting guest? [/ QUOTE ] David Boston, but I think he's retired to Maine. Your fellow Canuck, Haralobos Voulgaris, was amazing on The Circuit. Nick Schulman. Jean Gluck. Ted Forrest & Phil Ivey. (Not bloody likely.) |

Gavin's hand analysis is good. When he's gone the show goes way downhill. [/ QUOTE ] i agree with these comments 100%. another reason i prefer Rounders to The Circuit is because the hosts of Rounders don't have a condescending attitude towards amateurs (who comprise the vast majority of their audience) unlike Sebok and (increasingly and surprisingly) Huff on The Circuit. When Matusow constantly referred to amateurs as "donkeys", it didn't bother me ... it was just 'Mike being Mike'. But for Sebok to do it when he himself was one of those "donkeys" less than 2 years ago is ridiculous and for Huff to do so at all is beyond absurd. To his credit, Gavin doesn't seem to join in on the "talking-down" vibe. The best aspect of The Circuit is the caliber of guests that they are able to get due to their association with Cardplayer. That said, their superior access to these guests is largely wasted due to the subpar nature of the interviews. |

Re: What are the best poker podcasts?
PokerDiagram - British players discussing the live online game they're playing. Pretty good entertainment.
PocketFives - I enjoy this one, good interviews with online tourney players Rounders, The Circuit, and Card Club have already been mentioned. |

Re: What are the best poker podcasts?
Card Club on Lord Admiral. Although it's dropped off a bit it's still a good cast. Along with Columbo's one minute mystery it's tough to beat as a laid back poker pod cast.
Ante up is ok but in some bits it is as funny as a funeral and yet the two hosts are laughing away. Poker diagram is a pisser (funny). I fell off my chair with laughter when they used the Doctor Who sound clips. |
