In keeping with the 500+ posts theme.

I think a good idea would be to lock out anything but the strat and forums that are actualy poker/gambling related until you reach 500+ or whatever arbitrary figure is decded upon. This will force new members to actually contribute to the forums in a way that I'm sure the owners intended.

It will also eliminate the tons of gimmick accounts from popping up in OOT etc.

We could also make time as a member part of it, someting along the lines of 500 posts or 8months, or both etc.

A good number of gimmick accounts in OOT are quite good, including a moderator there. You're obviously just too much of a n00b to see it.

Or it will encourage people to inundate the strat forums with worthless content-free posts to try reach 500 so they can post in the other forums.

Ive thought about that and could totally understand that concept, but isnt this sites job to teach / learn poker, in reading the strats there just as much bad advice as good advice.

It was just a thought, I expected these responses as they were obvious.

What do you think the advertisers of 2p2 (who pay the bills) would think of that?

Dyan,

It's because a bunch of the people on that list are unknown posters who were added because they made poker references in OOT. Many people lack the self-control to pick fewer than seven, so a lot probably went with names they knew...I know I did.
