Wang? 10th lowest FIP in the AL? gives up the fewest home runs per game in the majors.
Beltre? Seems to be improving- Rapidly rising EqA and stats

I've never played fantasy baseball but I just think these two guys are undervalued right now.

[/ QUOTE ]

wang's K rate is a killer in that category, and also not a positive indicator for his future performance. bottom line: he's not going to get much better than he is now.

FIP isn't a good indicator of future performance when you play behind the worst defense in baseball.

Todd Helton seems like an easy answer here
assuming his troubles work themselves out, Brett Myers

helton is capable of batting .340 in the second half, but his power looks like it's gone for good, and coors is playing like less of a home run park this year. still an improvement on his first half.

If you're in a league where Mark Prior, Randy Johnson, Vladimir Guerrero, Felix Hernandez, and Ben Sheets are undervalued, you don't need any help to win. And if you do, you should kill yourself.

[/ QUOTE ]

I take back my Randy Johnson statement. He is nothing more than a $1 pitcher to go in when matchups are favorable.

What kind of value do you think those guys have? I gaurantee that their value is nowhere near what it was on draft day. In the case of Vlad and Felix Hernandez, they are really no worse off than they were at that time. With Shees and Prior, injuries are obviously a concern and have knocked their actual value down some. The question is, in the eyes of their owner, how much? I could easily see somebody moving Sheets for a less heralded positional player or a more healthy pitcher at a discount....and be correct in doing so.

Not undervalued.

I'm pretty sure he still is by about half of the FBB populace.

Will he have a better second half? How could he not.

Will he have a monster second half? Possible, but I doubt it.

The problem is no one considers him a .230 with no pop hitter, so I doubt you'll get him at much of a discout over what he really is, a .270/25 bomb player.
