To any one interested in this topic in general, I strongly recommend the book: Access All Areas -- A User's Guide to the Art of Urban Exploration, by Ninjalicious.

Sorry to bump, but I just got back from staying at the Monte Carlo and they don't check to see if your key card is active, just flash a key and you are in. They have a great pool with a wave pool and lazy river - it is like a mini-mandalay bay.
I have two key cards sitting here on my kitchen table if OP wants to PM me for one. I am planning on using the other one later this summer

Many thanks for the update, growlers.

Unfortunately, I am leaving for Vegas in 12 hours. (Actually, I don't mean unfortunately, more like WooHoo!!)

Perhaps someone else might like to stake a claim to your spare keycard?

I don't suppose any of the gift shops in Vegas sell used keycards as souvenirs, do they??

I hear the Flamingo is currently letting anyone in off the street (according to a review i read on tripadvisor) -- and they are supposed to have one of the best pool areas, although it gets crowded since they let anyone in.

Rio supposedly also lets in the riff-raff who pay the $5 charge ($10 on weekends).
