$10,000.

And I didn't have to play even a single online hand to do it!

Yes, I have a seat.

I won it in a freeroll, but played a crapload of raked hands to qualify for the freeroll.

What exactly does it mean when you "qualify" for the WSOP? does this mean they poker site pays your entry fee? or is it a package deal? Is this for the Main Event or the pre-Main Event tourney's?

"Qualifying" in this context means you won a seat into the Main Event, usually in an online satellite. These buy you into the Main Event and give you cash for expenses.

In most cases, all the money comes out of buyins by the satellite entrants. However, you can shop around and find either sites giving away seats in freerolls or ones that have big overlays (where they give away more seats that the buyins would cover).

I won pre-lim. event on Bodog on 1st attempt. 2 other attempts without success.

I played the $135 for the ME on Bodog 4 times. 2nd (AK -vs 99 AI pre-flop), 4th, 8th and 16th.

No more great over-lay tourney's at Bodog.

But my seat comes with $2,500 travel expenses so it's (almost) all good.

About $900 so far. No seat. I've been going at it half assed though. Time to get serious soon.
