RJ,

Well, you should try Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill, I suspect you'd like them a lot.

NY style pizza: best place in the south bay is Giovanni's in Sunnyvale. It's just a hole in the wall, but the pizza is as good a facsimile of NY style as you will find around here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not only is the pizza good, but the italian sandwiches are pretty awesome as well!

Tony DiMaggio's on Monterey and Capitol (San Jose) has really awesome strombolli as well.

Masked Man:

"Amici's is pretty good stuff, but not really New York style."

Yeah, I figured that, based on IHKS's picture, which is why I went with "thin crust". One thing that's always bothered me about Amici's is that their pizza is pretty much inedible the next day when cold.

limon:

I'm strictly small-stakes, but it's good to see one of your posts, even if it's off geographically.

OP:

When you fall off the veggie wagon, get thee a steak at Forbes Mill.

RJ,

I don't know what you're talking about. I don't even recall responding to you other than in the stealing music thread.

In this case, I just found it hilarious that of all the restaurants in the South Bay, the one you came up with to recommend was a generic chain Italian joint.

Meh.. WAY OVER-PRICED, but half way decent food. I'd rather go to Alexander's in Cupertino.

Yeah, Forbes Mill isvery good.

I can't say I'm much of a fan of Amici's, I think they've gone downhill since 5-6 years ago.

Go to Downtown Los Gatos on the weekend.

Sit at Cold Stone.

Watch hundreds of hot chics walk/ride by.

Rinse.

Repeat.
