Best of luck to you.

I'm currently $12 an hour and don't expect to see an increase until I move up but I'm determined to knock out 1000 5.50s before I take that step so it may be a while.

As far as increasing hourly rate, what's more effective? More tables? or higher buy-ins?

[/ QUOTE ]

Depends on how many tables you play. If you play 2 then playing 6 will be better than tripling your buyin level.

However if you play 8, then increasing your buyin level by %50, will be better than going to 12 tables

And Chris there is no reason you can't try the challenge. Your most important goal just would be to get a 1000 games by July 15 and have the bankroll for the 10s or 16s or whatever. I assumed when I started this that bankroll would be the most important thing for a lot of those trying it.

I will join you! Right now I'm at the 27s but I'm going to be moving to the 60s soon. I want to achieve above 15% ROI at the 60s while 8-tabling in sets. I also want to play 5 hours a day during the summer, which means 6 sets/day - 48 SNGs/day. I'll probably play these at night. I'll post about it on my blog and make a challenge for myself.

How can you multi the speeds like that? I have such a hard time making big decisions continuously faster than I have time to consider the options. Mainly in the later levels it causes issues for me and seems to affect my roi.
