Did Stars support send you an e-mail summary?

"Dear stevepa,

You finished the tournament in 1st place.
A $1,400,000 award has been credited to your Real Money account."

Nice win and some great playing to get there.

Have you played much live poker? You mentioned a few times that you were wrong on what you thought yours and others chipstacks were during some hands.

Was this a problem throughout the tournament and did you have any problems calculating pot odds not knowing the exact amounts of the pot and stacks?

We get spoiled online having all the information available to us. I've had this problem a few times and am glad to hear that I'm not the only one.

One other question Steve,

After the big win, were there any poker groupies after you? That has to be a bonus on top of the win.

Can you tell I'm married.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not really, I didn't stay long afterwards. A bunch of people wanted pictures with me, that was about it. Also, I have a girlfriend, so groupies wouldn't be allowed anyways.

I've got a question if you don't mind.. When it was down to 3 or 2, was there any talk of a deal being made/are deals allowed on the WPT? I know if I was there, with all that money on the line, I would have felt comfortable with some type of deal.

Congrats Steve, please throw a kegger at Waterloo or something.

[/ QUOTE ]

They told us beforehand that no deals were allowed. When we were down to 3, someone said they hoped it would be over soon. I jokingly said it'd be over sooner if they allowed deals. That was about it for the deal discussion.

I wish they'd sent me the congratulations email, but sadly they didn't. I took a picture of my stars cashier with the balance all there, that was pretty sweet.

About the live play and me not using chips well, this was probably the 7th-8th time I played in a casino. I played a couple live tournaments in Sarnia in September, they were crapshoots and I didn't last long. I found I did pretty well calculating pot odds and chipstacks but I took longer than I usually do online. Also, once I started getting tired, I noticed myself making occasional mistakes.

I totally understand....wink, wink.

Seriously, I am so jealous that you have 1000x more money in your Stars account than I have in my play money account.
