I have a good friend of mine who was addicted to WoW and ended up playing it so much he dropped out of college. His parents then forced him to live with them so they could make sure he would stop playing it. But a little while ago his parents went on a 5 day vacation. My friend went out and bought a 30$ two month card, so he could play it for 5 days without his parents seeing it on the credit card bill. This is just an example of how bad the addiction can be.

Personally I played the beta, enjoyed it. But since I couldn't keep the character I was playing, I never had a desire to start all over again.

The game is addictive because its very fun. That said.. I wasted a good 6 months on that game and everyone i knew took noticed. I managed to quit and sell my account on ebay.

If you plan to play it casually, grab it, worth the money. if you plan to play this game alot, only do so if you dont mind wasting countless hours

I ended up buying the game because I needed to see it myself. It is fun, but right now I just see it as a computer game. I'm not sure that there is any addiction.

I need a break from poker anyways, too many suckouts (variance?). So yeah, it'll give me something else to do for now.

Lvl 5 already!

Also, played Battlefield 2 in the past and didn't like it long-term.

WoW was ok.. I played it a bit.. I was hooked on Everquest, though.. so was easy to not get hooked on another game.

It's fun.. but with my personality games like that are dangerous. I'm easily addicted.
