I would think with this flop, somebody with a pocket pair such as 10s, 9s, 8s or so is going to be more likely to call a bet than on other flops. op has many more hands that missed this flop than hit this flop

in this situation if i am him i absolutely bet around the pot. What i found to be the best thing about low limits is that people are afraid of big bets. You keep putting pot size bets out there and u can steal a large amount of pots.

Look at the situation we have right here. We have 2 pair one being tptk yet we are considering folding b/c its a 10 dollar bet.

It is a little more of a laggy style and I dont post enough on here to know what yall like so this might go against some of yalls ideas but we at low limits we know 2 things:

1. people cant laydown hands at these limits
2. we want their whole stack in one hand

so if we keep this in mind you see why betting bigger is great

back to the hand though by playing it passively like we did we are forced to the decision instead of puttin him to the decisions

Why is everyone saying bet the flop? Checking behind is definitely fine on a board this dry, and probably the better play. Search for some of Chaostricize's posts in SSNL about this.

Then the point of checking behind is to get value from his mid-pair/JT/T9-type hand on the turn and the river. So you have to call the river. The relatively large bet worries me a little, but definitely not enough to fold.

2. What signifies weakness more, betting this flop, or checking this flop? Actually think about this one.

Not that i have much of a clue there since i really can't judge the accuracy of your reads, but i personally would bet the flop in any case here.

You should bet this flop the same % that you CB this flop.

As played, you have to call. This is a river bet screaming "dont call me".

I don't particularly feel this is the best way to draw out value from the hand. I feel it is preventing a bigger loss, perhaps, so perhaps it has some merit in that regard. But generally you are winning, and I'd like to maximize that side of the equation in this particular situation.

i agree with the bet flop and river line. if we are putting him on something like 88, he may see our flop bet as a standard c-bet and call it, and if we check behind the turn on a brick it will probably induce a river bet.

i think checking the flop isn't the best here because a check flop and bet/call turn line seems a little suspicious if i'm holding 88. we still might get a river bet if we check the flop and call or bet the turn but i think it's going to be much smaller than the bluff we induce on the river by checking behind on the turn. as played i would definitley call the river bet.
