This is a good post. I play live with my dad alot. He is terrible. I finally got him to buy SSHE and he has read it but he is still terrible. My dad is retired and goes to the casino a couple of times a week. He has been a gambler all his life and loves craps but he has never had or will have a problem with gambling but i refuse to set him up online until he quits sucking so much. Also i think my mom is glad to get him out of the house. If your dad is anywhere near a casino talk him into playing live low limit there instaed of online where he has 0% chance of making any money. If he insists he wants to play online i wouldn't set him up a neteller account i would just transfer him some money so you can keep an eye on it.

[ QUOTE ]
Says he doesn't need to read any books. He has been playing poker longer than I have been alive.

[/ QUOTE ]
Ah the irony. He sounds like the snotty teenager I am sure you were. It's just payback bitch!

Anyway, tell them that it doesn't matter how long he has been playing poker, that you have played more poker than he has in the way of hands, and you have forgotten more about poker than he has ever known. Then tell him to clean his room and no video games until he has done his homework!

Seriously, get him a decent beginner's book (Lee Jones is good for LHE) and give him another 25-50.

I like the HU prop bet

Or just constantly sit to his left, you'll end up just giving him back his own $

If he's still stubborn, give him another $5 or so, on the condition that he play you at one of the Stars .02/.04 HU tables. When you clean him out almost instantly he may be a bit more willing to learn how you did it, and why his "experience" isn't.

Edit: When you beat him be sure to ask him if that's air he's breathing
