Re: Trip Report : Do not pass go, do not collect $200 (real long)
Well, I was sentenced to 15 days. You will automatically get 1/3rd off for good behaviour, so I have to serve 10 days. I went in saturday morning, left sunday evening, so that's two days a weekend. The fifth I just showed up and they sent me home.
As for getting caught, we drove back through the town I stole the smokes at, and the one cop in the town was waiting for us. |

I also played a game called "Bid Wiz", which is sort of like bridge for idiots. You bid how many tricks you are going to take, then your partner bids how many he is going to take, and you try to take the tricks. [/ QUOTE ] This is Bid Whist, the predecessor to bridge. It's a good intro game for people who don't know what a trick is. |

The smokes line was pure genius. I don't smoke, but I'm tempted to go steal some cigarettes just to use that line.
And it was a good read. |

Didn't you just write a trip report about a party in Canada?
Do you live in Canada? Are there prisons in Canada? Are there criminals in Canada? Was that murder convict like the only one for that year in Canada? I never knew...too bad I hate cold weather or I'd visit up there to find out about stuff like this! |

OK,
Explain to me two things. 1- I would like to get inside the mind of an idiot: Why did you do all those stupid things that only compounded your problems. Did you just think you wouldn't get caught? 2- Because some guy said that he liked to eat ass in a context about women, you asked for protective custody? WTF? |

Re: Trip Report : Do not pass go, do not collect $200 (real long)
#1 - When I stopped going to probation there was alot of [censored] going on in my life. Sometimes things are tough to deal with when you're on your own in a big city. I had no job, no money, was almost homeless a couple of times. And I was young. I'm not saying looking back on it I would do the same thing; it was obviously boneheaded, but there were alot of different things going on in my life that factored into my decision. And yeah, I guess some part of me felt I could get away with all of it, and who knows, maybe I could have. I spent something like two years with a warrant out for my arrest, walking around like joe public.
#2 - It wasn't just some dude, it was my cell partner. The guy that's locked up with me at night. When I sleep. In addition, the factors involved in the bridge game and the old native american jail bird who told me to 'leave the range' were pretty key in this decision. I am pretty happy with my move to protective custody, after one of my biggest goals was to avoid violence and I think I am going to be much safer in protective custody nine times out of ten. |
