Re: Strongest NBA player
[ QUOTE ]
That's debatable. He played C/F with Cliff Robinson. He's only 6 foot 9. Duncan doesn't play center but he's essentially a center just like Amare played center 2 seasons ago yet is a power forward. If that really bothers you, I'd put Ben Wallace/ Shaq at center and I'd put Brand or Dwight Howard in at the 4. [/ QUOTE ] Well it doesn't bother me that much but just wanted to point out that he isn't one. Height doesn't dictate position, and 6'4" PF Charles Barkley could tell you that. Shorter than any other SF or PF, and even most SGs, he still played the PF position great. Wallace has always been a center and Duncan can swing between PF and C but has always preferred to play PF. Nazr is the Spurs C. |

Re: Strongest NBA player
I think it'd be someone other than Shaq for bench press, but all the players in the league put Shaq as the most physically strong, duh.
Pound for pound, though, Earl Boykins, baby! He benches over 300 lbs. and weighs like 155. |

Re: Strongest NBA player
[ QUOTE ]
Tayshaun is weak. He doesn't lift. He's lost two pounds since entering the L. He said he does "weight lifting" by adding weights to his legs and arms and doing bball drills. [/ QUOTE ] Their strength guy in Detroit does all sorts of non-standard strength training, not much weight training at all, even with the big guys. |

Yeah, but Ben, Chauncey, and co. still lift weights. Are you referring to Arnie Kander?

Re: Strongest NBA player
Well in fantasy basketball he's considered a F/C.
When labeling players on both basketballreference.com and basketball-reference.com he's considered a F so I'm not dreaming this up. http://www.basketball-reference.com/...wallabe01.html http://www.basketballreference.com/p...lkid=WALLABE01 |

[ QUOTE ] Ben Wallace [/ QUOTE ] When he was in the L, Charles Oakley? -Al [/ QUOTE ] They say Hakeem was freakishly strong when he was playing, much more so than you would think. If we're going with guys who aren't playing anymore, I'm taking Anthony Mason. |

Re: Strongest NBA player
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] corey magette [/ QUOTE ] I think Corey's up there in the Pull-up category. Actually, scratch that. Earl Boykins would own the crap out of him. [/ QUOTE ] The pull-up category would be really interesting, since it somewhat controls for weight/height. Ben, if he didn't break the bar, would probably be pretty sweet on that too--3.9% body fat. |
