Re: WPT 5/10 World Poker Open
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Horrible ruling by floorman there. I've only played at a few casinos but I didn't think "verbal bets are binding" was a house rule. Scotty should have to put in at least the mininum raise. (I can't believe I actually agreed with Sexton on something.) [/ QUOTE ] I missed it, did she actually rule that Scotty could just fold? [/ QUOTE ] no he just called the bet |

Re: WPT 5/10 World Poker Open
no, he put in whatever it was to call and said raise and started to get more chips out and then grinder fipped his hand over. (i feel like i'm talking about a sandwich)

Did anybody else think Raul looked like DeNiro in Taxi Driver? [/ QUOTE ] VVP made the Travis Bickle reference at least once. definitely a resemblance but the fauxhawk and glasses helped a lot. |

Re: WPT 5/10 World Poker Open
I'm kinda late, but I just saw it. That 56 vs. 44 hand was unreal. What happens if Grinder doesn't expose his cards?
Scotty raises, Grinder obviously goes all-in. Does Scotty auto-call here? I mean, no way Grinder puts 3-bets in on the river with two or pair something. I'd really like to know how that hand would've played out. |

Both of their hands were ultra-disguised, it's very unlikely that Grinder would have played the way he did earlier in the hand with a higher set. There is no flush and the only straight possible is the one that the grinder has. I just don't see him folding here. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I don't really think Scotty folds, I just think it'd be interesting to see if Scotty beats him into the pot. I mean, what else would Grinder have that he would bet flop, check turn, then bet and raise a check-raise on the river? A 3 was the last card IIRC, so maybe a set of threes. |
