I carry a pocketknife all the time.

In other news, I want to buy some mace for my sister, but no supplier will ship to New York, anyone willing to receive a package and forward it to me???

I have an aluminum baseball bat in my trunk, but I also have a helmet and batting gloves... i like going to batting cages. i've never really even considered using it as a weapon, though i suppose if a situation came up, I'd have it.

This same topic came up months ago, it turned into a mess and people starting bashing those who feel the need to carry. The same thing will likely happen in this one.

Well, given that that's the case, those are my questions but I won't make fun of you.

I also am curious if carriers tend to have been employed as a weapon-carrier at some point (cop, armed service, guard, what have you). Not necessarily now.

No I am not employed as a weapon-carrier and won't ever have a job where it is required. I grew up around guns, my dad carries(he is a pilot) and taught me how to shoot when I was young. I wouldn't necessarily carry the weapon on my body at all times but would like to keep one in my car. It is just a comfort issue, if anything ever went wrong, which is very doubtful, I would like to have one.

Cool, thanks.

I've been to pistol ranges a dozen times, but neither of my parents came from gun-owning families, so I just never had any exposure to guns before 5 years ago when I was like "hey, I should shoot a gun."

Part for my job (real estate agent; I handle a lot of foreclosures in Cracktown), part for the same reason I have car insurance. It sucks to need and not have either.

Those are FMJ target rounds, btw. I usually load hollow-points.
