Re: Close river spot
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] i'd say between $65-$70 is probably optimal here, anyone agree/disagree? [/ QUOTE ] My standard bet here is probably 56-65. Most players are going to fold to a raise of 60 if they don't have a strong hand. Btw, please convert your posts. I enjoy reading your hands but don't like looking an unconverted ones. [/ QUOTE ] too big a range, and too small a raise size [/ QUOTE ] proof? [/ QUOTE ] no 'proof'...it's just my opinion, but i feel pretty strongly about it. |

Re: Close river spot
Good2cu can you explain why you played this way preflop and on the flop?

Re: Close river spot
id think this is a fold if you've been squeezing with any frequency cuz i think he's shoving AK pf, which would make up a lot of his bluffing range here. also JT, 99, 88, and AQ got there. you dont really beat anything thats making this bet, looks like an easy fold even though your hand is pretty transparent as most likely a weak pair by the river.
i think that you should donk the turn to protect your hand and avoid this spot though, unless you're planning on calling down for whatever image based reasons. |

I think that the player chat is more interesting than the hand itself

Re: Close river spot
alright, i'll be the only one that says that I lean towards calling the river readless. Villain is almost certainly bad seeing as how he has a 255 stack to begin with and calls a raise then a reraise. His line is kind of strange for a queen to take so I think it is less likely that he has that, meaning that his river shove is either a set or better, or air. You've shown so much weakness that I think I can see him bluffing the turn then deciding that he can't bear to give up and check the river and instead bluffs the rest of his stack. Yeah you'll look like a donk going broke here sometimes when he shows JT, 88, etc, but I think you will catch air enough for this to be worth it.
