~ 50gb, but not too much variety. I have a lot of full albums on here, and tons of songs I never listen to because of that.

What's wrong with that? A lot of people (including myself) prefer uncompressed music files, and can easily tell the difference between a .wav and .mp3.

I have 5648 songs, 24 gigs. Seriously, how dumb do you have to to rip it by wav...mp3 > wav in every way possible

Uh what? mp3 = lossy... many people can hear the difference, especially if you have a half decent headphone setup.
