As far as good friends... I don't think I've met any online.

I met one 2+2er at a poker tournament before I started reading 2+2. I never saw him again and I never met anyone else over the internet.

2+2 is the only internet forum I read/post on, so none from anywhere but here. From here, I've met 3 2+2'ers, IIRC. All 3 worked in the casino industry, and were working when we met. All nice guys, but given that the exchanges that took place barely qualify as conversations, "friends" would probably be the wrong characterization.

Before 2+2, I had never met a soul from the internet, since then, I've met a ton, mostly from 2+2; many have turned into be really good friends.

I've met a number of 2+2ers in real life, most of them at the sort of initial Vegas gathering that happened a couple of years ago. There are certainly a handful that I would say I'm friends with from out of that. I think there are a number of others that I only have spoken to through 2+2 or AIM, but that I would certainly grab a beer with IRL if the opportunity came up.
I've also been in a long running fantasy baseball league, where I've only met a couple of the guys in real life, but know a lot about most of them, which is kind of weird when I think about it. Plus I had that dude from 2+2 that called me on the phone, that was cool.
