Daniel might have spoken up about Kido's "call" because the other guy in the hand was an amateur and very polite. The other guy might not have much experience with the rules and might have been too nice to bitch about it.

Danny didn't know if Gary Kainer wanted a call or not, therefore he should STFU.

There is no such thing as not being in a hand in a tournament when it comes to issues like that. Every player's equity is affected by other players' actions.

care to elaborate?

Isn't it the premise of ICM? If two guys with equal stacks race, then the winner's equity less than doubles, but obviously the loser's equity drops to zero (let's subtract out last place's money from everyone's equity for simplicity). Where does the rest of the equity go? To other players who weren't even in a hand.

Agree.. Everybody at that table is "in the hand".. That's why you can't do things like run it twice in tournaments. There was no action to follow, so he was within his right to say something.

As for Danny boys wants, sure he wanted a call. The more chances of a player being eliminated (via calling somebodies allin) the better for him.

Daniel was trying to help the floor enforce the rules properly. It's similar to seeing the dealer award the pot to the wrong player. Everyone at the table has a responsibility to make sure that doesn't happen.

I don't see anything wrong with what dn did with kido's call. Personally I'd want to smack him in the face for taking so long to fold his pos hand.

I didn't think DN did anything wrong either. Kido said "OK, I call it." and that's a call.

The chiplead at the table goes round and round...round and round...

DN is entirely within his rights. It's no different than calling a string raise. It's just making sure the rules are enforced and not letting things get out of hand.

What was the deal with all four of the players who were wearing hats? Why did they have a piece of black tape on them like Jamie Gold on HSP? Was this something to do with sponsor endorsments?

It looked to me like JC Tran was wearing a NY Yankees hat. Thought that was weird they made him block out that logo.

I don't think a string raise should be pointed out by anyone not in the hand.
