A few pounds of jerky? That sounds like a ridiculous amount, but then again, I don't like it.

4 ounces a day is ~2lbs a week.

I've seen kids sit down and eat like a pound in a sitting. Seems semi-gross.

So I totally picked up some peppered beef jerky. It tastes alright. Definitely better than eating the other snacks I have.

Umm... Jerky is pretty inexpensive IIRC. Like ~12 bucks of jerky maybe?

Couple of those 8 ounces packages.

I could be way off in pricing. It was just a fat kid who was like: "I ate a pound of jerky. Its all I ate all day."

Inexpensive? Jeez, isn't it like a buck or two an ounce?

Anyway, I think if I ate a pound of jerky, my dad would have fed me into a woodchipper for going through so much money so fast.

I get my jerky at a meat market, it runs between 17-25 a pound. 25 a pound is from buffalo. Takes me a while to go through a pound, ~2 weeks or so.

My roommate in college used to go deer hunting and would bring back a huge bag of venison jerky...most delicious thing EVER (his butcher would season it perfectly).

i bought a smaller bag last night at the grocery store. i saw they had a one pound bag for $9.
