He has always been borderline to me, especially when I was a politics mod. But he's never struck me in an RJ kind of way.

I've seen nothing worth banning him over lately.

He's a LOT worse than RJ imo (and RJ was pretty bad).

Agreed. RJ was bad, had a terrible temper, created drama in way inappropriate places, but also tried to add things to the site like his headphones thread and in sports re: soccer. BluffTHIS does nothing but troll, troll, and troll. He hasn't tried to get along with anyone ever. I hate him.

I just found RJ pathetic, basically harmless when he calms down. Bluffthis is a black hole of trolliness.

If RJ is the standard for trollishness, umm aslfkasjlskfjaslk

Basically.

RJ is/was a very obvious troll.

People like BT (or say Vince Lepore/Smoothcall) are worse than RJ, because they're rational enough that people don't ignore them from jump. They specifically don't wig out like RJ so they never get banned unless the mods get proactive.

I don't like the idea of threads that basically read, "Hey, we don't like this guy in general. Let's ban him because it's been brought up."

I'm not a fan, but it always makes me uncomfortable when people start looking for reasons to ban. One of the complaints that's been coming up a lot lately is that if you don't play nice with the right 2+2 cliques the mods will [censored] you. Silly or not, that is the perception we're seeing.

I read it more as "hey this guy has been a huge troll for a long time and noone has taken any action...why not?"

All:

After speaking to BT who is surprisingly reasonable when you talk to him on a one to one basis (I thought he was a common troll until I learned about how forced the PPA), he agreed to change. He realizes he has stepped a bit too far recently and will tone it down. He will refrain from criticizing OOT which should help stop a lot of the confrontations (particularly between him and NT which tend to get a bit wild), in exchange I think its best that we try to avoid slandering him with "why aren't you banned yet" type of statements in the forum.

With every confrontation its a two way street, BT is willing to adjust - we accomplished our goal so lets help him keep his commitment by not baiting him. Thanks.
