Question for Vegas residents/frequent visitors about hookers.

Yeah I imagine it'd be bit awkward for them if they started running into custys all the time while off duty. Or if not awkward then a pain in the ass. doubt they want to deal with guys trying to get daytime freebies.

re: OP, I've only spent like 4 days in Vegas but I've never seen a hooker. I'd guess % is, like, 25-35%.

OK... "a small percentage, probably close to the number for any other US city" although I'm not sure what that means. Las Vegas on the whole is actually a fairly conservative city. Just because the sex industry is more visible in LV than most places doesn't mean that it's more utilized by the resident population, nor does it even mean it's necessarily bigger than other cities where the industry is less visible.

Random Googling netted this BBC article. I don't know how credible it is. In any case, I'd say if the world average is 10%, then the Las Vegas average is probably about 10%.

I think the percent is rather low. Been living here a year and haven't met someone who's admitted to it. It's never even been an idle topic of conversation.

That's why these things are impossible to gauge. No one, and I mean no one, is ever going to admit to it. Seeing a hooker is one of those things I bet many guys won't even admit to in anonymous surveys like in that BBC article linked above.

My guess is the percentage is a lot higher than people would think, although probably far from a majority. But I'd have trouble even roughly guessing a range.

Whaaa? I thought you could nail a pretty good looking hooker in Vegas for about $300. Thats not bad compared to the price of a date and taking into account the fact that you never have to talk to her again.
