yeah thats pretty much what im doing, although i'll use funds to actually play at bellagio cashgames as well. what are these well-documented risks??

Ideally I want reliable info from the Rio casino about the same bank-wire job so i can get rio chips over there for the wsop buyins. but their website looks ridiculous and unhelpful and is devoid of any contact email address. I'll call them up later i guess, their office was closed when i tried just now. I'll post what info I can get on this after.

Thanks for your input, shaniac

This is the RIO wiring instructions form that must be filled out to fund your account for the WSOP.

There are actually TWO diff.transfer forms for wiring funds according to the RIO.
One is for their "general" wire transfer,and the second is specifically for WSOP participants.
It was a pretty simple process,and to expedite it ASAP, I would call the RIO Cage #
1(702)777-7777 as they instantly sent me an e-mail package incl. the pdf. wire form,instructions,and one of girls in the cage personally walked me through the process while I was at my bank.They were EXTREMELY helpful and it took a couple of hours to complete the transaction from start to finish
As far as I know now,when I arrive my wired monies will be waiting patiently for me to withdraw as I chose.

I did however "pre-register" for ONE event(Friday June 15th Event #25 $2000 NLHE) so I could recieve the poker rate for my entire stay at the RIO when I arrive June 10th -whenever.I will most likely be coming back to NY ,July 4th weekend for a break,,,,,,,,then heading back to LV for the Main Event,and the rest of the Bellagio Series Events.

excellent, thats just the sort of info I wanted stephen, TYVM

i hope u can understand why i was apprehensive before about just shipping almost 50k to the details on your pdf link and just trusting that i could show up at the rio and be like "yoyo cage dudes my name is ____, u got my $?"

if you wire 50k to bellagio they might only let you have it in chips, but you could easily convert it all to cash in a day or two. just sit in the 10-20 or 25-50 games and whenever a new player sits down sell him chips for cash. plenty of regulars will be glad to help out and buy a flag or two off you as well. also, you can cash out 3k/day yourself without any hassle, so like i said, it shouldn't take more than a couple days to change up those chips.

Great Thread,
so what would be the best way to execute it for me? I am German citizen and therefore would have to deal with € if I cash my pokermoney in my German bank account. I don't want to lose big chunks of money in that process so I assume wiring via FTP, Stars or whatever seems to be the best way. Anyone with knowledge about this can recommend a "best way" solution? Put the money on FTP then wire it to the Bellagio? Anyone has done that before as a non American citizen? What are the fees? I heard about nightmare stories á la " 7% fee " which would mean my initial 50k would be decreased by 3,500$ just for that one wire. I plan to play up to 19 WSOP Events and maybe some sidegames, so if I could only use the wired money to buy into WSOP events, that would be fine with me as well. I really appreciate any constructive help if anyone of you is well informed please write me a pm..
Thanks

Fredrik

Just got off the phone withthe Bellagio cage;

the deal is you can only withdraw 10% of your wired amount immediately. The rest has to withdrawn in chip form. This should be good for most of us, as we can slowly turn it all into cash.
