Re: Better (greater edge) on-line than in B&M???
[ QUOTE ]
I read often that the average B&M player/game is worse than online players/games, but never actually read thoughts on why. So Can some more experienced players in both online and B&M explain a little why they think B&M games are better/ why the average B&M player is worse than the average online player? Thx [/ QUOTE ] Some people go to the casino to gamble. This does not include folding. In another words, these same people pull slot machines and throw money at roulette wheels. They have much less "book knowledge" of correct play. And far less motivation to observe proper play if they do understand it. Additionally, there is peer pressure to not raise by cally-wallies that just want to see if their 2 outer comes home. Some otherwise solid players give in to this pressure. This makes B&M games more profitable on a "per hand" basis, generally speaking. But, the pace is so much slower live and you cannot multitable, so it is generally an open question whether you can earn more live or online. Another factor is I enjoy playing for many hours live; long sessions multitabling suck. |
