I'm Getting Married!

The ring arrived on Thursday, our first in Seattle and a full 3 days early (whoo!). I could thus carry it around thinking about a good time to pop the question. On Monday everyone went back to work and we had to figure something to do with the day, like walking down to the waterfront and eating fish.

We ate and walked along the wharf, out onto a pier with an awesome view of the city, the water, the mountains, and west Seattle. I was actually nervous (big surprise). We sat down and were talking and enjoying in the view and all of a sudden I just did it! I was down on one knee and she was saying yes and we were ecstatic. We called a bunch of people and texted a bunch more, took more pictures, decided to check into the Edgewater in downtown Seattle (the Beatles stayed there). The Edgewater is a beautiful hotel that, shockingly, is right on the water.
