Re: Help Me Build An Album Collection Part B
Beck, Jeff - excellent british guitarist, recommend Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop and Who Else!
Badu, Erykah - Baduism Blur, Ben Folds Five - can't go wrong here really, just grab an album. I'll let bigger fans offer one. B&S's Tigermilk is the must-have from their discography. you could push the boat out and get 1 of their 1000 first pressings for about £200 now. Boston - just get "More Than A Feeling". Greatest song ever, although another B - Blue Öyster Cult's Don't Fear The Reaper comes close. If it weren't lacking enough cowbell... |

ben kweller - on my way or sha sha [/ QUOTE ] A friend's roommate knows Kweller's drummer, so we went to see them when they played here in Nashville. They played at Rocketown, a "music venue, skate park, coffee bar" whose draw is that its a safe haven for teens, strictly no alcohol, tobacco, or drugs. We were easily some of the oldest people there. I'd put the median age of the crowd at 16-17. |

Re: Help Me Build An Album Collection Part B
Please tell me you aren't collecting MP3's.
Beastie Boys: get Check Your Head and Paul's Boutique Beatles: everything from Rubber Soul and after is pretty good. Before that, they were mostly gay. |

Blues Traveler - first 3 albums (definitely Travelers & Thieves)
Dylan - can't believe no one has mentioned Desire. Also, pick up Before the Flood - live album with The Band. Bob Marley - I say screw it and just get the box set. It's quite awesome. Jeff Buckley - Grace |

Please tell me you aren't collecting MP3's. [/ QUOTE ] Well it depends on how you look at it. I think it would be absolutely idiotic of me to rush out and buy a ton of albums based solely on the recommendation of a stranger on an internet message board. So what I am doing, is downloading albums, and those that I like I keep and will upgrade to actual physical copies as free spending $$$ allows. If I don't do it this way, I'd end up with a lot of junk I don't like, and thats not the goal for me. |
