Boris - haha, I guess this is somewhat understandable. Although are you saying that you, the non-ticket buyer, tried to "pull rank"? That seems even more egregious.

[ QUOTE ] This was obviously about a girl. [/ QUOTE ] heh, you are right about that. One dude would get a sweet aisle seat and the other dude would get to sit next to a sweet 250 pounder. This full figured babe was chugging whiskey from a flask and while her fat rolls were overflowing in to my personal space. [/ QUOTE ] Oakland A's groupies are HOTTTTTTTTTTTT. |

it's okay to ask to switch seats though, just be like, I wanted to talk to this person about something.

I guess I'm a nit. I'm in the camp of "sit in the seat for the ticket you have". Would I pull rank? [/ QUOTE ] Lol, pull rank. Are you guys in the maffia? |

As a well-established passive-aggressive nit, I think all should sit in the seats to which they are assigned. But, I wouldn't say anything about it and would take it out on the seat-stealer in an unrelated and subtle way another time.

why can't you believe it's a serious question? [/ QUOTE ] Because its so stupid to me its no different than walking into a movie theater, you know you are going to sit in a block of 4 seats so you just sort it out. If you dont like your seat ask one of your friends if they will switch. I mean these tickets are just randomly handed out by your friend right? Its not like he planned some seating chart thing, you could just as easily ended up with ticket 104 as ticket 105. And if it actually is some assigned plan thing from your friend because you guys have to sit in a certain order, well then thats just weird, so I cant offer any advice on it because I could never see myself in that situation, and I think most people view it the same |

Seems like the better way to rephase this question is "If I mind my seat choice unfavorable, is it fair to use the actual ticket I'm holding as leverage to move" but the answer is still "no". [/ QUOTE ] this is the best post in this thread |

Sit down where you want, since its a sporting event you'll probably be getting drunk and getting up to piss a lot. This means you'll probably all be switching seats around anyways throughout the event.

[/ QUOTE ] While I'm not on the Boris level of nittery wrt to seats vs tickets, once I'm in my seat, it is my seat, imo. |
