Re: Foxwoods 10/20 Thursday night, QQ in SB
Definitely LOL at 3-betting the turn vs. typical Foxwoods loose-passive types. You might even scare trip jacks with a weak kicker!
Mike, I think you are toast on the river. The river A is a really bad card for your hand, not just because he now could have you beat if he had AdXd/AT, but because now he thinks you will call if you had AK. I guess you were thinking/hoping he might have been semi-bluffing with a diamond draw? |

[ QUOTE ] So anyway, it checked around and Turn: Jd [5bbs] Hero bets, 1 fold, MP raises, LP folds, Hero??? [/ QUOTE ] I'd 3 bet. All he's done so far is tell you that your AK is no good. You have to inform him you don't have AK, and he'll oblige by paying off anyway. [/ QUOTE ] Against most at Foxwoods this is terrible. |

Toast is correct.
I checked-called, and Villain showed AK. It amazes me how the guy who limps AK in a loose Foxwoods came could raise that turn... |

In this game you have to have a really good idea that somebody going to bet in the right spot for the check to work. I'd prefer to bet out.
Calling pre-flop and then c/r will work but you lose value, of course. |
