It's way worse tasting IMO than Red Bull or other energy drinks (Amp). It has a cough-syrup consistency and not noticably more energy-providing-awesomeness than Red Bull, which I will continue to assert is the best option out there.

I'm addicted to energy drinks. I'd say you should go with redbull first. That is what started me off. To me rockstar seems stronger and I dont mind the taste. That is my main one. But I frequently switch it up hoping it'll stop my tolerance from growing (like cycling a suppliment). Mountain Dew amp is good. Jones is the strongest I've had. I dont care for the taste of monster.

Redbull is the standard, so try it first. I really prefer Rockstar as it has a bunch of stuff other than caffeine and gives me a better buzz. Lately I've been drinking Rockstar Juiced which has the same energy blend but is 70% fruit juice. It's not "mmm...delicious" good, but it isn't as sickly sweet as everything else out there and has a much better taste, imo. Avoid off-label energy drinks, as many of these are nastier than anything you can imagine.

i go for the lo carb monster because i can buy them at costco by the case (24 16 ounce cans for 25 bucks). I would advise staying away from energy drinks altogether though, i'm up to 2-3 per day (plus coffee)

Personally I can't stand Red Bull.
Full Throttle and Amp are pretty good. The Starbucks Double Shot Espresso is good. My favorites are Rip-it Lime Wrecker and Sobe No Fear. Lime Wrecker tastes like a lemon-lime pop and Sobe tastes like carbonated grapefruit juice. The Sobe is not as sweet as other energy drinks.
