AA is a 4:1 favourite to 77 preflop so you played the hand fine. I think that many people tend to be "results oriented" and think that when they lose a hand that means they have played it badly. However, there is certainly nothing wrong with getting all of your money in preflop with the best hand in the game, you just got unlucky.

As they say, "that's poker". One of the best skills you can learn is to deal with a run of bad luck and not "tilt".
