I owned 0 of these albums 7 months ago, and now have probably 25 (plus many other releases by the same artists) b/c of OOT recommendations.

You all are missing the top 5 albums of all time. Simple oversight by everyone I'm sure.
5. Live from Texas - Linkin Park 4. Collision Course - Linkin Park 3. Reanimation - Linkin Park 2. Meteora - Linkin Park 1. Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park |

Don't get me wrong, TOTBL is great, but sometimes it can get a little too dark for my tastes. And some of the tracks don't match up with the truly great songs like Stella and The New. Antics has some really great songs. The last five tracks I think are all standout including the closer A Time To Be So Small. I think I like this album more because it retains the catchiness, but is just slightly more upbeat than Turn On the Bright Lights. |

Mark - that's a good summary of what I think also, but yeah, both are great albums.
2nded - no Flaming Lips? Perhaps not deserving a Top 25 best of the past 10 years, but Aimee Mann's Bachelor No. 2 is a great album. -Al |

Re: Top 25 Albums of 1996-2006 (x-post/Music Forum)
Fantastic Planet is a good album but it goes on... . and on.... and on. I would take either of the first two Hum albums ahead of it, and I'm not sure those will even make my list.
It's going to be hard for me to make this list because I'm old before my time, but I'll get one together. NT |
