She explained that at the Wynn, hidden high denomination chips do not play, period. Got to love the Wynn!

They don't play if he wins, but they do play if he loses (like the OP)?

[/ QUOTE ]

In my mind, the guy is pulling an angle shoot here, he is fully aware of it. It's not like he forgot he had the chips, he hid them intentionally for just such an thing to happen.

Strictly by the rules, if I win I have no right to them, but you can be sure if he stacks them out there, I am taking them if I win. Angle shooters should be shot, and if you can punish them for crap like this with a one sided ruling so be it.

you misinterpreted the post entirely.

i wasn't putting any of this on the dealer.

how in the hell did you derive that conclusion?

[/ QUOTE ]

Pretty obvious if you ask me.

[ QUOTE ]

Two things that needed to happen; the dealer needed to make the side pots before he dealt the river card; and he needed to make D-bag put his $1K chips where they were visible

I wasn't blaming the dealer for this in that comment, but the dealer knew that he had those chips, he saw him break the flag into 5 $1K chips, so the dealer needed to have him put those chips where they were visible.

Also, I think it's better when sidepots are created before the river when there's a multiway all-in, i understand it's easier to sort it out afterwards, but it could have avoided this situation entirely.

And yes, the D-bag paid up and then left immediately.

I've gone all in at the Wynn in the 2/5 game and "discovered" afterwards that there were 5 blacks hidden deep in the middle of someone's stacks of reds. As it happened, since they had those stacks of red, it was negligible in terms of affecting the action... but I wasn't happy when I discovered them.

I ended up calling the floor who did not make this ruling. I was instructed that it was my responsibility to know how many chips my opponent possessed. Last time I've made that mistake. (I now explicitly ask, "got any blacks or other-colored chips over there?")

This was last year, so the rules may have changed in our favor.

Or you got one of the [censored] making the ruling. Not every floor person/manager is equal there... This took place about a year ago.

The attempted angleshot in the percula story does not seem to make any sense unless the angle shooter planned to somehow sneak the chips off the table if he lost. He didn't have the nuts on the turn, he had a draw.

Exactly what I was wondering. If the flush doesn't come, he's going to have to speak up as well. There seems to be no advantage here. What angle was he shooting (in this particular hand)?

If you want to take someone off a hand, I think saying "3K plus is what I have," would be better.

Unless he plans on palming the 3k, he has a problem here.

No need to sneak them off the table, no one was "enforcing" all in for $1 and $2 chips after the "$500 a shot AI" ATM bitched when someone wanted his last $4 in $1's.

He would be able to hide the 3 $1k chips behind his last 4 $1 chips?
