i also like betting the flop for basically the same reasons fonkey gave. being check/raised off the best hand (if we have the best hand) isn't such a big deal. a free card really doesn't do much for us. and we can fold out small [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]s. If we have Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], then checking is much better than betting.

players are bad. Some slowplay here, some are afraid of a flush. It makes it less likely he has a boat imo, but def can't rule it out

3 handed, mid pair, kickers not great on a monotone and drawy board. HU i'll bet this out, but it get's too tricky w 2 players. KT hits hits their calling range regardless of the diamonds (they just make it worse) plus you want pot control. The later streets will be much easier to play by checking here and seeing what cards peel off/the action.

Example...if you check then a low non diamond falls and they check to you you can now assume you're good and get your bet in. Keeps the pot small and gives you a better idea where you're at.

On the other hand if they call you're flop bet, now they can check to you on the turn and you have to check behind for pot control, show weakness, and might have to deal with a tuff river spot. You might also feel you have to dbl barrel, which also shows how a flop bet changes the whole hand.

Anyway yea again I check flop bet turn fold riv as played

hmm it might be true what you say about betting the flop, maybe im wrong here. Tried to argue for a check but couldnt rly find any real arguments, besides that im a nitbot [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]. Would like it if Riall came with some more input on this matter.

There's no real magical play on this flop here. Personally my default is bet 75%, and check it back 25%. There's reasons for both sides, but I'm cbetting a huge portion of my range here in an attempt to take it down right there, and if I get called I likely have at least 2 outs against anyone non flushed.
