Re: NL100: Yet another \"Fold KK PF\" post

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] wow I can't believe some people advocate fold here. [/ QUOTE ] Tight opponent with an amateurish "I have AA" min re-raise and a 5-bet pre for 125BB.... yeah, he's probably bluffing. [/ QUOTE ] then the 4bet preflop is horrible Not necessarily. We have a fishy friend still in the hand who probably at least calls our 4bet with AK and TT+. Plus, CO might take a flop with Queens to see if any overcards come. I understand what you're saying "If CO knows we fold everything except Aces to a shove, then he can shove with a hand like AQ because..." which is 100% true. Thing is, most FR players don't play/think like that. I've been in / seen similar spots against FR nitty TAGs with AK and Kings and called with exactly this reasoning, and honest, I've not been shown worse than Kings once. Plus, the odds we're receiving allow us to fold even with some possibility of bluff. [ QUOTE ] Or even (Maybe, I haven't done all the math, I just know it's worse than 2:1) [/ QUOTE ] breakeven is around 36.5% Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: NL100: Yet another \"Fold KK PF\" post
@bottomset: I agree, the 4bet is not the greatest move in the history of poker. Problem is, I had not seen such a minraise by villain before and with the donk in the BB and another loose passive player with a big stack in the SB I wasn't sure if he wasn't trying to bloat the pot with some specualative hand or make some crazy stuff there.
What would you recommend then? Just calling PF, 4 betting bigger or 4betting and then calling the shove? |
