AAPL closed at 81.52 today. Unless the company gets bought out in the next two days or something, ship it!

Yeah, this was pretty much a "ship it" ever since the prop was put up. Great bet.

Of course they move, what are you talking about? The price has moved before the next trade occurs, as the market pricing mechanism is not continuous, regardless of if NYSE floor is open or closed.

Note the $5 move prior to today's open.

In addition, if there's no US trading, there's after-hours trading, off-board trading, Asian and European trading. Off-board trades don't have to be reported for 30 days, I believe. Many large US stocks have dual/multiple listings.
