The price has moved before the next trade occurs, as the market pricing mechanism is not continuous, regardless of if NYSE floor is open or closed. In addition, if there's no US trading, there's after-hours trading, off-board trading, Asian and European trading. Off-board trades don't have to be reported for 30 days, I believe. Many large US stocks have dual/multiple listings. |
