Re: Blood Sports Poll
I voted 'go to jail' for all but bull fighting which are national 'sports'/part of the culture in the countries that allow them. That is probably inconsistent of me but at least the bull has a chance of killing the GD human torturing it or jumping into the crowd and stomping some of the audience. I'm always rooting for the bull.

[ QUOTE ]
Setting animals up to fight is a very cruel thing to do. And yes, there is a difference between animals in a state of nature and setting animals up to die for your entertainment. [/ QUOTE ] I hate it when I agree with Nielsio. |

Re: Blood Sports Poll
I'm constantly amazed at what people are willing to throw other people into prison for.

Re: Blood Sports Poll
I don't actually care about any of them, but I voted "banned and put in jail" just because I like seeing idiots put in jail.

"...a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason." – Thomas Paine, “Common Sense”
Personally I don’t find anything interesting/fun/entertaining by watching animals dying in front of my eyes. |

We also agree that it should not be outlawed though, correct? It looks like making it legal is in the lead! |

[ QUOTE ] ...more likely to vote their moral code upon others... [/ QUOTE ] I'll leave the debate about whether Republicans or Democrats are more likely to do this for another time, but it did get me thinking about something that I don't think was mentioned in the other thread. For all the people who think that animals are simply property and property rights are absolute, do you also support the decriminalization of bestiality? If not, why not? [/ QUOTE ] Beastiality is also fine. If we can kill em to eat em or for their fur or their bones or whatever, then how can we start arguing that they have rights when it comes to sexing em or fighting them for our entertainment? |

[ QUOTE ] I don't personally have a big problem with any of these, although I would never watch them. [/ QUOTE ] This is a respectible position to have... [ QUOTE ] However, I would support banning them if that is what the majority of people in the state want. [/ QUOTE ] !!!!!????? Do you not have any political principles? Do you not have a backbone and are willing to protect your beliefs? I hope you don't vote..... [/ QUOTE ] http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=0#Post11328282 |

How grotesque does something have to be for certain of you to say 'no, you can't do that' to someone? |
