What are his qualifications to hold that office?

[/ QUOTE ]

Raymer has done an excellent job of running away from this Absolute scandal as a member of the PPA. Maybe he can have Mark Seif run the Justice Department.

Raymer responded on this site previously speaking on behalf of the PPA in response to the CEO Poker tour fiasco. This whole Absolute scandal is the biggest scandal to hit online poker ever-so yes his, and the PPA' silence at this time is troubling. Saying anything else, or trying to deny that is just stupid.

Why has he got any obligation regarding Absolute? He's not sponsored by them. PPA should address legal (i.e. live) U.S. poker issues, but nothing beyond that.

B/c this is a big issue that can be used to make poker officially illegal once and for all. This paints poker sites in a bad light and when you are trying to get them legalized you need to show that they are safe. AP is not safe and it is in PPA best interest to have full exposure of what went on so that when the Senators ask what happened Raymer and others are up there saying a bunch of BS that makes poker look bad.

the AP thing is a double-edged sword for online poker advocates. While the scandal does make online poker look bad, if online poker is legitimized in the US, regulation would stop this kind of thing, and if not, at least facilitate the administration of justice to those involved-as victims or participants, in these type of scandals.
