Doubtful IMO. Don't think the British government is going to get too worked up about this as a free trade issue FWIW. I hope I'm wrong though and I think it certainly is a free trade issue.

The UK government hit unexpected trouble when it agreed to the idea of Supercasinos...noone objected until the Daily Mail got hold of the story, and suddenly all politicians were horrified. In view of this, they won't do anything they don't have to to raise the profile of this issue.
