Unless the big stack says something to the affect of "Hey Adanthar. It was great hanging out with you last week at Olympic Gardens. So much fun that I'm going to fold and let you have this pot." it's not collusion. It's not unethical. It's not a lack of integrity. It's a mistake, or dumbness, or perhaps even good strategy.

Then what about the guys in 10/20NL taht are checking it down with each otehr?

They didnt announce that they were doing it, but the HSNL forum was all up in arms about the softplaying.

Actually, they did announce it to each other and don't deny it when asked.

Sorry Ray, I'm not harping on you I promise.

Come to think of it, it's more gross for me if I knew the guy and then folded than if I just sat down with him, he seemed like a nice person and I folded. I have no clue why that is.

Taking this one step further, if he is the worst player ever I should fold every time.

It's completely different. Assuming it wasn't an accident, or that he simply wasn't away since he locked up a seat, it could be good strategy. In any case, there are SO many reasons that someone would fold in this situation that unless there is discussion that directly suggests collusion or softplaying it's ridiculous to assume that's the case. I mean, geez, it's a $3 freakin' rebuy. People do odd things.

It's a satellite. There's no reason to prolong the bubble to bully your table. You have all the chips you need and more. This is a call for hourly rate purposes if nothing else.
