This whole thing doesn't come down to 2p2 admins and mods being nannys (and DVault, given your political positions I'm suprised you wouldn't support it anyway ).

It comes down to a purely business decision that Mason and company just don't want the 2p2 name associated with threads discussing things like anti-semetism (in the past or dealing with that OP by sniper) or racism (see BBV), or bigotry such as in referring to homosexuals as being defective.

Whether in actuality the actions Stu has taken damages the name of 2p2 or not is another question. Personally I don't really support a ban on Stu but I can't be too upset that the forum will be devoid of his dishonest propaganda for three days.

Had he been trolling or illiterate, I would have been fine with the thread lock. The actual reasons though, are ones I have a strong problem with.

So they'd rather have the 2p2 name associated with censorship? This has done a lot more to hurt the 2p2 name in my eyes than protect it. Will the poll thread where people are expressing their (well deserved) bigotry towards policemen and politicians also be locked?

I'm really sad that the thread was locked. Not for the political debate or lack thereof. I was really looking forward to canis582 explaining how he banged chicks and how it wasn't considered natural.

That's open for debate. I don't know. I'm just expaining what they've said in the past concerning things of this nature.

That's an example of bigotry?

Bigotry - stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.

I'm certainly stubborn and completely intolerant of the behavior of police and politicians. Seems to me most of the people who don't trust them are.

Not sure what you consider about his post that was bigotted. He basically said that homosexuality isn't normal and that homosexuality is a behavioral defect.

In your opinion is it bigotted to state that homosexuality isn't normal?

If it's something else that you found bigotted, I think you should make it clear to the minions what you found to be bigotted. If for no other reason to make it more clear where you draw the line. I think it's fairly clear that people are confused as to where you do draw the line.

Did you miss the part where he said it was inferior?

I guess your right, I would put a qualifier of "irrational" in there though. I certainly don't think those that distrust cops or politicians are doing so irrationally, however most examples where someone calls bigotry it is indeed irrational.

But then, I trust people less to decide what is and is not rational than I do to decide what is and is not bigotry.
