i usually just drink Guinness. once in a while bombay and tonic, so that's pretty easy.

my girlfriend loves strawberry long island's and the majority of the time the bartender's have to ask her wtf she's talking about.

Sometimes I order simple drinks and tell them what I want, simply because there's no name for it and no one else orders it. I'll order basically a tequila martini - substitute a bit of squeezed lime for vermouth.

Jamesons on the rocks. I find that especially lately whenever I order a drink it's heavy on the sweeteners. If I know the bartenders are decent and it's a resturant I might risk a mojito cause they're yummy

My main beverage is beer, and Im not real picky on it.

At the bar I work at, which is known for its overpowering cocktails, I get a Tom Collins, usually hits the spot.

At other bars its typically beer, occusionally a Rum and Coke.

For the record I make really good appletinis.

2 parts apple vodka, 2 parts apple pucker, 1 part sour mix, splash of Grand Mariner (triple sec will work if needed)

I don't drink, but I like the idea of buying one of my friends a melontini. Thank you for the idea thread.

AJ,

only buy a melontini for girls or friends you don't like.

not drinking is a good life option as it obviously causes a ton of problems for a lot of people, but if you ever do decide to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner or a drink with friends try to do it with out melon flavors or umbrella drinks or beer in a can for that matter. cheers. J.

I'm not normally a specialty cocktail drinker: bourbon, neat; red wine; and beer are my usual drinks.

But last night we went to a restaurant called Lantern in Chapel Hill and I ordered hibiscus-infused vodka with lime juice and Thai basil that was awesome...
