Did you run the pokerstars.exe from your pokerstars directory?

Does it say you need to update your client when you start it up?

i was just running the default shortcut, which points to "C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStarsUpdate.exe"

am i supposed to be running pokerstars.exe? and yes, it says it needs to update the client.

you are supposed to run the pokerstars.exe, yes.
the client "update" is actually restoring the images you changed, i.e the cards.

when you run pokerstars.exe this update does not take place, but on the other hand any "real" update of the client will not take place.
But of course there is a way to get around this as well... [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I just create a new shortcut to the PokerStars.exe file instead of the ~Update file and then the mod changes stay active.

I imagine when this link doesn't work due to a PS upgrade a new update / copy mods/ create new link cycle is needed. Would be curious if anybody else has a better system.
