This guy makes a good post and is subsequently bashed by Full Tilt Reps.

[/ QUOTE ]
OP claims it can't be bots, so "Full Tilt Reps" bash him? Someone failed Trolling 101...

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you read the post? He said if they are bots, then they are operated by somebody with inside information about Full Tilt's RNG. That wouldn't put Full Tilt in a bad light at all. Right?

[/ QUOTE ]

It doesn't matter, his logic makes absolutely no sense. Therefore, it is not a "good post" or even a decent post. It's a really really bad post.

Why would you need access to an RNG to operate a bot?

Of course you don't need a RNG to operate a bot. If you want to operate a winning bot at no-limit, you do. When the bot owner's picture was posted online, he was in full tilt gear and representing their company. The OP proposes a theory, and it's a good one. There is a lot more to this story, and I hope people dig deeper.

Why in the world would you need this?

So you could program the bot to make more correct decisions.

So you could use random information, to help you decide how to play hands? Niceeee.

It becomes less "random", and more predictable when you know the pattern of the RNG. RNG's are never truly random. Somebody with more knowledge should chime in. From what I understand, every RNG can be "cracked" if you know the tendencies of the RNG. It has something to do with finding the "seed". Being a moderator, I'm sure you've read posts about this...

Sure.

But that doesn't make any of his points in his post any better. His post was as bad information wise, as it was formatting wise.

You and the OP should get together and write a book.

you guyz did not even read the bot thread.

its not like the bots destroy the games. they play an ultra small edge strategy that the poster was destroying once he figured out.

duh they all play the same percent of hands because their strategy must be designed to play the same hands from the same position.

From what ive read on here, pokerstars uses some form of user generated inputs for their RNG that cant be cracked because they are generated from random inputs. Im assuming full tilt does something similar since they are a relatively new site with good software.

oh and if the bots cracked the code they would not be beating the game for whatever small edge they were beating it.

and i never play on full tilt anymore.
