he's an animal. pure and simple. the reason he wins is nobody has any clue what he has ever, and you are forced to make a hand against him. its hard to hit the flop. he knows that. and he has a disgusting bankroll and can play purely on feel b/c hes one of, if not the best online NL player. [/ QUOTE ] U know feel doesnt mean u can feel what cards are coming. Thats call trying to luckbox....feel is knowing when people are strong or weak and making the correct play upon that. |

The fact that you guys all think he's a crazy lunatic that plays any 2 cards and advertise it on a forum makes this play +EV. Deception goes far at these stakes.

If I followed the betting right, there was 4697 in the pot after owen is AI for 2672. Hall is getting better than 2-1 on his money to call a guy who initially called and has now gone AI with his 50 BB stack.
I'm not saying it's the right play with 53s, but isn't it a possibility that he was hoping Qintana and Smiley would fold (Qintana did) and figured he'd be priced in with no more betting against what likely isn't nearly a good a hand as AA? |

he also wants to discourage short stackers from pushing all in with marginal hands too often, so by showing he is willing to race for large amounts of money, tight shortstackers who care about the money will definitely be hesitant and do it way less often

Do you think shortstack players are actually worried about loose tables?...

Giving action to shortstack players often makes it more likely that (bad) fullstack players pay him of later.
